Best Dressed At Last Nights MET Gala

Every year on the first Monday in May is the MET Gala. The MET opens the doors to the Metropolitan Museum of Art's costume exhibition. To celebrate the opening celebrities, fashion insiders and more are invited to the Gala which each year holds the same theme as the exhibit. This years theme is 'Manus x Machina: Fashion in an Age of Technology'.

Last night London, England was home to this years British Fashion awards honoring Britain's finest in fashion.

TIFF Red Carpet Looks

One of my favourite months is September. Fall is coming but the weather is still good, pumpkin spice lattes are in season again at Starbucks, and its home to the Toronto International Film Festival. I've been going to the festival now for years to spot celebrities, and catch one (or two) of the movies premiering. I love TIFF for obvious reasons; the world’s biggest stars are in my home city, and Toronto becomes the talk of the world for a bit.

CFDA 2015

The CFDA Awards (Council of Fashion Designers of America)is one of the biggest nights in American fashion. The awards honor and reward the most notable names on the American fashion scene. 

Some of the winners of the night include: Tom Ford for Menswear designer of the year, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen of The Row for Womenswear designers of the year, Mansur Gavriel won the award for Accessory designer of the year, Rossie Assoulin received the Swarovski award for Womenswear, and Pharell Williams was honored with the Fashion Icon award presented to him by Kanye West.

Ahhh well award season is officially over. No more having to rush to the theaters to make sure you see all the nominated films (if that's your kinda thing), and ordering pizza so that your award show night is complete. As I have mentioned in previous post award show posts my favourite part of award season is of course the glamour filled red carpets.  My top two favourites from the night were Margot Robbie in Saint Laurent and Reese Witherspoon in Tom Ford.
