International Women's Day

Today is International Women's Day. The day honoring all women falls every year on March 8. 

It wasn't until recently that I considered myself a feminist. The only reason for this is that I didn't know exactly what being a feminist meant.

Last month I had the pleasure of attending a party at Holt Renfrew on Bloor Street to celebrate the famed fashion illustrator Donald Robertson. Donald "Drawbertson" has been featured in several publications such as Vanity Fair, Style.com, and The New York Times. He is also behind some  of the colourful creative window displays seen at Bergdrof Goodman and Holt Renfrew. 

Too add on to his already impressive resume, having been one of the three co-founders of MAC Cosmetics Drawbertson recently came out with his first ever children's book Mitford at the Fashion Zoo. The book tells the story of a fashion obsessed  giraffe, Mitford who is eager to get his start in the industry. Not only does the book tell an adorable tale, but features the artwork of Donald Robertson.
